Supporting Employee Growth: A Strategic Investment

Investing in your employees' education not only helps them make a significant impact but also contributes to your company's overall success. Approximately 60% of US companies offer tuition support, reporting notable positive changes in employee performance and company outcomes. For every dollar invested in an employee's return to secondary education, the company realized double the amount in talent-management savings. These educated employees were more likely to stay, be promoted, and advance within the company (The Atlantic, April 2016).

Retaining and Empowering Top Talent

As a key player in recruiting and retaining top talent, Loyola University Chicago offers career-focused programs that can amplify your impact. With over a century of experience in adult education, Loyola ensures programs with direct applicability to the workforce. Sending your employees to Loyola enhances your organization by cultivating engaged, skilled, and confident individuals.

  • Providing training opportunities, such as workshops or returning to school, enhances organizational competitiveness and strengthens employee retention (Cloutier et al., 2015).
  • Allowing employees to explore their interests and strengths through learning opportunities fosters loyalty and encourages them to stay with the organization (Govaerts et al., 2011).
  • Companies that offer tuition reimbursement experience longer employee tenures and reduced turnover rates, creating a more stable and committed workforce (Cappelli, 2002; Flaherty, 2007).

“Loyola’s SCPS Fellows program allows for generous financial support toward my tuition expenses. It is through Loyola’s partnership with my employer that I have been awarded substantial support in tuition assistance. Without Loyola’s alliance with my employer, my pursuit for a higher education would probably have been delayed and more burdensome.” Michelle Cygan (BA ‘18)

"When you start a journey, there is usually a reason behind setting out to travel the road ahead. There is a motivating factor...You will hear of meeting challenges, of perseverance, of commitment and of determination. I can look in the audience and see my children, and I think of the example I wanted to set for them - an example of finishing a journey, no matter the obstacles."
